SKANDAGIRI

Also known as Kalavara Durga, is a popular mountain fortress located ~70 km from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Rising to an altitude of about 1,350–1,450 m, it features the remnants of an 18th-century fort believed to be constructed by Tipu Sultan. ANTHARGANGE

located near Kolar in Karnataka, about 70 km from Bengaluru, is a fascinating destination known for its unique rock formations, volcanic caves, and adventurous trekking and cave exploration opportunities. The name “Anthargange” translates to “Inner Stream”, referring to a mysterious underground spring that flows through the rocks and feeds a small temple pond at the foothill’s Kashi Vishweshwara Temple.

SAVANDURGA

is surrounded by lush forest and offers panoramic views of the Arkavathi River and the surrounding countryside. It also holds religious significance, with ancient temples like the Savandi Veerabhadreshwara Swamy Temple and Narasimha Swamy Temple located at the base.

KODACHADRI

KUDREMUKH

is one of the most scenic and sought-after trekking experiences in Karnataka, located in the Chikkamagaluru district within the Kudremukh National Park. The name Kudremukh, meaning “horse face” in Kannada, comes from the distinctive shape of the peak, which resembles the face of a horse.

KUMARA PARVATHA

is one of the most challenging and rewarding treks in Karnataka. Located near Kukke Subramanya in the Western Ghats, it stands at an elevation of about 1,712 meters (5,617 feet), making it the second-highest peak in the state. The trek is known for its steep ascents, dense forests, and breathtaking views, attracting seasoned trekkers and nature enthusiasts.

NETRAVATI PEAK

Is a serene and less-explored trekking destination nestled in the Western Ghats of Karnataka, near the popular hill station of Kalasa in the Chikkamagaluru district. Standing at an elevation of approximately 1,520 meters (4,987 feet), the peak is named after the Netravati River, which is believed to originate in this region.

MULLAYANAGIRI

Is also popular for activities like mountain biking and sunrise treks. Its accessibility and stunning landscapes make it one of the most visited peaks in Karnataka, offering a perfect blend of adventure, spirituality, and natural beauty. At the top, visitors are greeted by a small temple dedicated to Saint Mullappa Swamy, after whom the peak is named.

GOKARNA BEACH TREK

Is a scenic coastal trek located in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. Unlike typical mountain treks, this unique trail takes you along the Arabian Sea, connecting a series of pristine and secluded beaches. Starting from the popular Gokarna Main Beach, the trek covers beaches like Kudle, Om, Half Moon, Paradise, and sometimes even extends to Belekan Beach.

KURINJAL PEAK

is a serene and lesser-known trekking destination nestled within the Kudremukh National Park in Karnataka’s Western Ghats. The journey begins at the Bhagavathi Nature Camp, where trekkers obtain necessary permits from the forest office.

UTTARI BETTA TREK

The trek begins at the base village, Huthridurga, and follows a well-marked path leading through seven stone gateways of an ancient fort. Midway, trekkers encounter the Shankareswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, offering a serene resting spot.

TADIANDAMOL TREK

The best time to trek Tadiandamol is between October and February, when the skies are clear, temperatures are cool, and the surroundings are lush. Along the way, trekkers often encounter rich flora and fauna, making the experience even more immersive.
